Scope:
- The existing Robot softPLC was removed and replaced with a Siemens S7-1500 Industrial PLC with a Profibus master module, for communication with IO and pneumatic valves.
- New PLC code written to control the entire robot cell including the infeed conveyors.
- Development new interface protocol to transfer +900 data points to the robot via Profibus.
- All integration work was completed in less than 2 weeks to minimize production downtime.
